Hi, I'm Kristin!
I've been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. What started as disposable cameras at camp grew into film camera and darkroom classes, being the class historian and yearbook photographer in high school, all the way to studying photojournalism in college.
After college I started shooting weddings. After moving to Maine I started shooting small businesses, and because I practically live in a National Park, a lot of families. Ive been shooting weddings for over 10 years, but I'm also a gardener and I cook and serve for a catering company.
Most days you can find me editing at my computer with my 14 year old chihuahua in my lap. She hikes with me regularly and is cuddled up near me the rest of the time.
I love the ocean, fresh and dried flowers, surprises, being in nature, honoring the moon, studying tarot and cooking beautiful food from nurturing ingredients.
I love being outside as much as I love taking pictures and I'm lucky to live in a place where I get to combine the two frequently. When I'm not working I'm giving thanks and eating chocolate and trying to stretch more and just be me.
I cannot live without:
Dancing, my dog Ella, sleep
Fried chicken and raw oysters
Louisiana! I love the food, culture, music and dancing!
First thing I did when I woke up today:
Took my dog outside - followed shortly by feeding her, making coffee, pulling a tarot card for the day and reading the day's mantra in 'A Course in Miracles'.
